Warehouse trucks and trolleys are individual equipment in their own rights defined as follows:-
- Bogies – wheel mounted up to 50 tonnes and more capacity. At the lighter end would include simple wheel mounted pipe bogies on two wheels up to rail mounted for heavier goods transport. Often they have centrally fitted wheels to allow them to turn in tight areas. The general safe working load for industrial and warehouse type operations is around 500 kgs. using harder wheel surfaces for higher weights than this such as cast iron or nylon.
- Trucks – 4 wheeled devices comprising a platform and a steering facility with either a tow handle or a tow bar. General industry term is a turntable truck. 2 wheeled versions would include the sack truck but in the main they are 4 wheeled handling loads from 200 kgs up to 10,000 kgs.
- Trolleys – are defined by castor mounts usually 2 fixed and 2 swivel but they can also comprise 4 swivel in any combination or a diamond formation to enable them to perform like bogies with two centre fixed wheels and one swivel castor centred at each end to enable them to be easy steer in tight or confined areas. Generally these rarely 500 kgs. operational loading. However we will manufacture anything to suit your requirements.
All bogies, trucks and trolleys come with a range of platforms, sides, push handles and wheel and castor arrangements. We design and build these but here are some standard products which can easily be adapted or that you can buy straight off the page to do any task you have in mind.
We have an installation section if you require bogies with tracks mounts to feed into specialist processes such as ovens, welding bays, shot blasters or anywhere you require to transport heavy work into processes using the minimum number of people or see our winching and hoist system for assisted pulling operations. We can also fit drives and have towing systems for all our bogies, trucks and trolleys designs.
